Boot-time scanning is undoubtedly an advanced feature that often scans the system before starting the operating system. It scans for known types of malware and removes threats before your current operating system and other services arrive.

The first sector of a hard drive is called the boot sector and contains the Master Boot Record (MBR). The MBR contains information about most partition locations for loading and reading the working partition of the bootable system and is responsible for loading the rest of your system operation< /a>.
A sector boot virus is specific and infects the first sector — boot area — of a hard or removable drive in a car. Boot sector viruses can also infect the MBR.
Removable media is usually infected, but the subsequent boot sector infection occurs on USB drives or hard drives shared by pirated software applications.
